A God Moment

Anyone that knows me, knows - I have a fear of snakes, and there was a snake in my garage 3 weeks ago... My husband killed it last week (2 weeks later) Praise God!

(but I would like to share the story leading up to it)

I wouldn't go thru my garage for (2) weeks... I was going in and out of my front door...

The following week the snake was on my front porch looking in thru the glass door at me... I had just been thru the front door, 3 minutes prior... Needless to say I FLIPPED out... I called my best friend who lives down the street to come down with a hoe... she came down immediately, (even tho it seemed like it took forever...) Of course, it was gone by the time she got here... My husband was 10 minutes away at the time...

I have started going thru the garage again in the past week...

I am sure you are wondering where I am going with this...

When I go thru my garage - I let the garage door open completely before I step one foot out of my house... I keep my eyes straight ahead looking directly at my car as I go thru the garage... As I was doing that yesterday God reminded me that is how he what he wants me to do - He was me to keep my eyes on Him and not on the issues of life...

This is what I call "A God moment"...

The word for today is "Power" -

Romans 4:20-21 (NIV)
20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

Trust God...

I have not ever blogged before... A coworker encouraged me to try it out, so here it goes...

It has been a tough 4 weeks @ work, due to some very unfortuate things that have taken place... My faith has really been tested...

I have really been seeking God thru it all... The first thing God layed on my heart was,

"for such a time as this" Esther 4:14...

A few days later I was reading the book of James, and God showed me

James 1:2-3 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance...

The song that He placed on my heart was,

"Hold On, by 33 Miles"

Last night - I was working on the new Bible study that we are going to begin in a few weeks (Ladies Tuesday Night Bible Study), and the first Scripture of the study was James 1:2-3... It was a awesome God moment, as He reminded me once again, to "consider it pure joy..." I meditated on that Scripture all night... and at times thruout the day...

God gave me another Scripture today,

Luke 11:9 "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

It is really cool when I slow down and pay attention to what God is saying to me...

God has been giving me different words daily, sometimes the word is the same for a few days... The word for today was, "Wisdom"...

So, here it is - my 1st blog... (my thoughts)...
